About ARIA
Meet Aria
Since being introduced to firearms at the age of 11 through Scouting, Aria has over a decade and a half of experience handling firearms, and is licensed to carry a concealed handgun in multiple states. Her specialty and certification is in handguns, for both marksmanship and self-defense purposes. While she does not have any military, law enforcement, paramilitary, or security guard experience, she is NRA-certified as a pistol instructor and range safety officer, doing her part to pass on the time-honored American tradition of civilian marksmanship. Aria can teach you not only how to shoot but how to be a better shooter.
Aria strives to be a kind, caring, sensitive, lighthearted, compassionate, humorous, positive, and diligent instructor who wants to help you learn how to better protect yourself and your loved ones by improving your handgun skills. Aria enjoys working with shooters from all kinds of backgrounds, walks of life, and various levels of experience. She works hard to dispel outdated stereotypes regarding gun ownership that are becoming much less prevalent as the next generation of American gun owners becomes more diverse, inclusive, and welcoming. Aria believes in cultivating a safe, responsible, approachable, and fun learning environment for her students.

Outside of her love of marksmanship, Aria enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, biking, swimming, music, art, Lego, and the occasional video game. As a ordained rabbi and former hospital chaplain, Aria is devout in her Jewish faith, and enjoys helping others. For her ordination thesis, she wrote about the ethical, religious, and philosophical issues surrounding self-defense and gun ownership in Judaism.
She is also an out and proud transgender woman and a fierce advocate for LGBTQ inclusion. She teaches her class from a trauma-informed and neurodivergent-informed perspective, and respects the boundaries and needs of her students. She values diversity, integrity, honesty, respect, freedom, kindness, resilience, critical thinking, initiative, humor, civic duty, and self-reliance.
Born, raised, and educated in California, Aria is now located in Saint Louis County. Depending on scheduling and availability, she is willing to travel in order to teach classes for larger groups.
Due to her faith practices, Aria does not teach classes on Shabbat (Friday sundown-Saturday sundown) or on the holidays of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Passover, and Shavuot.

Services Available
Missouri CCW Permit Classes (8 hours):
$140 per person/per day
Discounts available for groups larger than 4.
Learn firearms safe handling and use, pistol marksmanship, personal protection strategies, as well as Missouri's laws regarding weapons and guns (RSMo 571), and laws regarding self-defense (RSMo 563), following which will be a live fire exercise and test. The classes I am currently offering have 12 seats, and I will reach out to you if you are waitlisted for your preferred date.
Eye and ear protection, targets, and range fees are included with the live fire course. You do not even have to bring your own firearm, and no firearms experience is needed since this class accommodates both new and experienced shooters. The Classroom Portion will be held in the central St. Louis area, while the range portion will be held in Ballwin, MO. While a CCW permit is not needed to carry a firearm for adults 21 and over in MO, it drastically expands the types of public places you can lawfully carry, and the class itself is worth having just for the sake of learning how to safely and responsibly protect you, your family, and your loved ones.
I am registered with St. Louis County Police and the MO Statewide Instructor Database to teach CCW classes, and with my NRA Pistol Instructor Certification, I can teach these classes to Missouri residents 19 and older who will then be eligible for a permit following the issuance of a course completion certificate. While Illinois residents (and other out of state residents), are still encouraged to take the MO CCW class just for the gun safety training and learning itself, it won't count towards getting an Illinois permit. For IL residents who need IL certified classes for CCW, I recommend contacting Raye at readyrainbow.com for all your IL CCW permitting needs.
Private lesson:
$100 per person/hour (1 person)

I do private handgun lessons for both individuals and groups at all levels of experience. They are a great way to learn how to shoot and improve your shooting. If you do not have time for an all-day basic pistol course, are new to guns, or just want to brush up on skills and correct bad habits, this is the class for you. Range fees, ammunition, and targets are paid directly to the range and are subject to availability. Eye and ear protection are available free of charge.
NRA Basic Pistol course (~8 hours):
$140 per person/per day
Minimum class size of 3 or more people,

This is the standard comprehensive basic pistol course offered by NRA certified handgun instructors. Learn the essentials regarding owning, shooting, and maintaining handguns. Great for both new and experienced shooters alike.
Official NRA Course Materials are included in the price. Range fees, ammunition, and targets are paid directly to the range and are subject to availability. Eye and ear protection are available free of charge.
Please reserve at least two weeks ahead in order for range reservations and course materials to be properly obtained in a timely fashion.
